I enjoyed a meal at Casanova on Crookes in Sheffield recently. This is a place that I was taken to as a child and just fell out of the habit of visiting when I moved out of the area.
This was a real treat as it’s been years since I’ve been to the restaurant and despite the many delicious options on the menu I just had to go for the same as I used to order, Cannelloni with Spinach and Ricotta for main, and Profiteroles for desert. It was as delicious as I remembered and I really enjoyed it.
It’s really nice to visit an authentic Italian restaurant, and to be greeted by the owner is not so common these days. What was really lovely is that Salvo remembered us! The amount of people he must have welcomed to his restaurant over the years, and he remembered a couple of little girls who used to visit for birthdays!
